One More Shot is a non-profit charity fundraiser weekend raising money for Cancer charities including Macmillan Cancer Support held at the Ramada Sutton Coldfield. It’s run by the truly amazing, wonderful and inspirational Rachel Stainrod and her many volunteers/team whom without them Rachel wouldn’t be able to run this amazing event. Each team member plays a role that ensures the event runs smoothly for everyone. Last year’s event raised £5,000 in total.
Last year was the 5th year the event has been running and it included amazing artists like, Christian Kane, Riley Smith, Henri O’Connor, Jonah Dolan, Gary Quinn, Stewart Mac and Dean Roberts, Kyshona Armstrong and Guy Jones. Previous events have included many more artists over the years.
The first event included Steve Carlson, Gary Quinn, Matthew Huff, & The Final Wish (Emad Aleaddin & Natasha Dahdaleh).
Christian Kane, Riley, Henri & Jonah joined onboard from OMS2 onward. Riley had his protege Joshua Forrest Payne accompany him in 2015. Other artists have included Jenn Bostic and Matt Lande.
Gary Quinn has attended and supported all 5 events so far and is set to return to OMS6 next year, along with Christian Kane and as announced last night on their livestream Stewart Mac and Dean Roberts will be joining them again. I can’t wait to find out who else is gong to be attending next year.
I’ve only personally been to two of these events but each one was amazing and well worth the money, there are gigs, meet and greets, Q&A sessions, autograph sessions and merchandise on sale. I’ve made some great new friends since attending my first one more shot event.
I initially went to my first OMS in 2018 purely for Christian Kane but went back again last year for everyone else. 2018 was the first time I’d seen Christian sing live and I wasn’t disappointed, although I will admit I was quite nervous when it came to meeting him for the very first time at the meet and greet but he was such a lovely, friendly guy that my nervousness didn’t last long. I always told myself I would only attend the one event and once I’d met Christian that would be enough; I was wrong and am now hooked and will attend for as long as I’m able to do so.
All the artists that I’ve met at one more shot have been lovely, friendly, welcoming and incredibly down to earth. The autograph sessions and meet and greets were so much fun and I’ve expanded my music library with so many new artists and music since that first weekend, music that I love to listen to over and over again and remember how much fun I had during the event.
I am currently saving for the next event in April 2021 and can’t wait to do it all again with lots of fun and lots of good music. There is so much love and support for this event that has brought so many people together.

It truly amazes me how a little idea blossomed into a family. Music is & always has been my lifeline. I would never have been able to cope with life if not for music.”
